Who can use the service?
Everyone goes through difficult times, but sometimes our problems affect our day-to-day lives and we feel that we can’t cope. If you are in this situation, you are not alone.
Insight talking therapies is a free and confidential service, commissioned by the NHS, and is available to anyone aged 18+ (or 16+ if not in full-time education) who lives in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
How do I arrange an appointment?
You can self-refer to our service in the following ways:

- Ask your GP for a referral
Once we have received the referral, a member of the administration team will contact you to arrange an appointment. Please note that it is our usual policy to withhold telephone numbers when we call you.
Alternatively, you can contact the Humber Foundations NHS Trust Mental Health Services on 01482 301 701, where you will be redirected to an appropriate service.
You will be initially offered an assessment by the East Riding Psychological Wellbeing Service; you can request a referral direct to Insight Healthcare during your assessment appointment. Once we have received the referral, a member of the administration team will contact you to arrange an appointment.
Where does the service take place?
Face-to-face consultations take place at various health and community venues throughout the area however we can provide help over the phone if this is more convenient to you. This will be discussed with you.

In the event of an emergency, if you are unable to keep yourself safe, you should contact your GP or call 999.
Contact us to enquire about how you obtain a referral to our service. Any emails which are received between 9.00am and 5.00pm on a working day will be dealt with as soon as possible; outside of these hours your email will be dealt with as soon as possible the following working day.
